How long does my hair need to be before waxing?

For the best results, your hair should be about a quarter of an inch long. This is roughly the length of a grain of rice. This length gives the wax enough hair to grip for a cleaner and smoother result at our Huntsville spa.

Can I wax if I use retinol or prescription acne products?

You must stop using retinol, Retin-A, and strong chemical exfoliants at least seven days before your facial waxing appointment. These products thin the skin and can cause lifting or tearing during a wax. Please let your MB Spa aesthetician know about any skincare medications you are taking before we begin.

What is the difference between a bikini wax and a Brazilian wax?

A standard bikini wax only removes hair that is visible outside of a traditional swimsuit line. A Brazilian wax removes all hair from the front, the middle, and the back. You can choose to go completely bare or leave a small strip of hair in the front during your visit.

How long do waxing results last?

Most clients enjoy smooth skin for three to four weeks after a waxing appointment. Your exact results will depend on your personal hair growth cycle. We recommend booking your appointments every four weeks to maintain the best results and reduce hair thickness over time.
